Acuvue TruEye Daily Disposable Contact Lenses
TruEye - A Comfortable and Healthy Choice!
Contact Lenses should do four things: provide clear vision, fit comfortably and properly, address your personal preferences and be easy to use without causing eye funguses or infections.
You can find disposable contact lenses in thousands of sizes, shapes and materials. Some are made for monthly ware, biweekly ware and some for daily ware. Acuvue Contacts manufactured by Johnson and Johnson Vision Care was the first soft contact lens. The Acuvue soft contact lenses are made of a porous silicone hydrogel. The new Acuvue TruEye daily disposable lens is becoming a popular convenient and safe choice for contact lens wearers.
Contac Lens Health Issues
Optometrists believe that contact lenses should be changed often to prevent fungus and eye infections. The American Optometric Association has issued reports stating the primary cause of serious eye diseases associated with contact lenses is poor hygiene. In 2006 improperly formulated rewetting drops and contact lens solutions were also discovered to be at fault. After an FDA investigation of a fungus outbreak among contact lens wearers that tied the outbreak to the ingredients used in the Bausch and Lomb ReNu with MoistureLoc lens solution, Bausch and Lomb voluntarily removed the product from the market. The new Acuvue TruEye disposable lenses are meant to be replaced daily reducing the chances of infection from storing your lenses improperly or not cleaning them properly after taking the lenses out or before putting them in your eyes. Using a daily disposable lens along with washing your hands before touching your eyes or contacts and cleaning your lenses thoroughly before putting them in your eyes with the solutions your optometrist recommends are important steps for decreasing the risk of eye infections.
